Privacy policy

Visible by Adwaizer ("Visible") is a Shopify app that checks a store's product catalog for what AI shopping agents need, and fixes it with the merchant's approval.

When you install Visible, you grant it three Shopify permissions: read products, write products, and read inventory.

Visible reads your products, variants, media, metafields and store policies through Shopify's Admin API.

Visible also reads your public storefront: your /robots.txt file and each product's public page.

Visible does not ask for access to your orders or your customers.

Visible stores no personal data about your customers (the shoppers who buy from your store).

The code that saves data refuses any record that holds a customer field such as an email, a phone number, a first or last name, an address or a customer ID, at any depth.

Visible does keep some personal data about you, the merchant, and your staff: the email address that alert digests go to, and the name or ID of the staff member behind each logged action.

Visible stores your store's audit results, the changes it proposes, and the changes you approve, edit, reject or dismiss.

Before it publishes a change, Visible keeps the earlier value, so that you can revert it.

Each approve, edit, reject, dismiss, publish and revert is logged with who did it and when.

Visible stores the Shopify access token for your store encrypted (AES-256-GCM); the stored value is never the plain token.

Visible records how its jobs run (duration, cost, results) and usage and billing events, to run and improve the service.

Your edits and rejections are logged to improve Visible offline only; Visible does not learn from them while it runs.

Visible uses your catalog data to score each product against its checks and to show you what blocks it.

Visible writes proposed titles, descriptions and alt text from your product's own record only, and looks up nothing outside it.

To write and check those proposals, Visible sends your product data to an AI model provider.

Nothing is written to your store unless you approve it.

Visible may send you alert digests by email and as a banner in the app when your store score falls, a top product gains a blocker, or your robots.txt or policy status changes.

Billing goes through Shopify; Visible never handles your card.

Visible keeps audit and approval history for 12 months, and removes older entries.

Visible takes a backup of your store's data every day, and a backup restores exactly the same data.

When you uninstall, Visible first offers you an export of your store's data.

The export includes your score and eligibility history and the before-and-after of the fixes you applied, as CSV files.

Your store's data, including its backups, is deleted 30 days after you uninstall, and never later than 30 days after Shopify's store erasure request (shop/redact) for your store.

If you reinstall before your data is deleted, nothing is deleted.

Visible handles Shopify's three privacy webhooks: customer data requests, customer erasure requests and store erasure requests.

Because Visible stores no customer data, a customer data request or erasure request finds no customer data in Visible to return or erase.

A store erasure request is answered as set out under "When you uninstall Visible": your store's data, including its backups, is deleted no later than 30 days after the request.

Visible checks Shopify's signature on every webhook and rejects any request whose signature does not match.

A webhook delivered twice changes nothing the second time.
