Acuarela is operated by Adwaizer AI Consulting Inc., a Canadian corporation.

Our Privacy Officer is accountable for how we handle personal information: Gabriel Ordonez, President, privacy@adwaizer.com.

On every version of Acuarela:

• Product photos you upload or select, and the images we generate from them. Photos can show models, who may be identifiable people.
• Job details: job ids, status, color names, garment descriptions, plan usage, and timestamps.
• Support: what you write to us or to our in-app AI support assistant, and any email address you give us so we can reply.
• Technical and security data: limited information such as your IP address, used briefly to limit abuse of our services.

Shopify app:

• Your shop domain, the access token Shopify gives us (kept with restricted access), and the permissions you grant at install. We do not ask for customer or order access, so we do not receive your customers’ personal information.
• The store contact email and store owner name Shopify provides at install, used to reach you about the service.
• Your plan and usage. Charges are processed by Shopify Billing.
• Catalog clean-up (“Fix it for me”), when you use it: your product titles, descriptions, options, tags, product types, SKUs, and photos, read to suggest fixes; the suggestions themselves; and a record of each change you approve (the value before, the value after, who approved it, and when) so that you can undo it.

Acuarela Studio:

• Your account email, the Google account id if you sign in with Google, the invite code you used, your language and display settings, and when you agreed to our Terms and this policy.
• Billing: Stripe processes payments. Stripe collects and holds your card details; we keep only the Stripe customer and subscription ids, your plan, and your usage.

WooCommerce connection:

• Your store address and the REST API key and secret you authorize. The key and secret are stored encrypted and used only to read your catalog and add images you approve. Disconnecting deletes them.

Free color photo check (/scan):

• When anyone checks a store, we read that store’s public product catalog and keep the report (the store address and photo coverage figures, no personal information) so it has its own page that can be shared.
• If you ask us to email you the report, we keep your email address, the store, the exact consent you gave and when, and the emails we sent you. We email you only after you confirm your address.

Business outreach:

• We may email a store once, about its own photo report, at the business contact address the store publishes on its website, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) allows. We do not email a store that says it does not want unsolicited email. We keep the address, the store, the message, and the date.

Every email we send identifies us, gives our mailing address, and has an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops all further email of that kind to that address; the service keeps working either way.

• To provide and operate Acuarela: generate, review, and publish images, and connect to Shopify or WooCommerce on your behalf
• To manage your plan, usage, and billing through Shopify or Stripe
• To answer support requests and keep the service secure
• To show you insights and suggestions about your own store, computed only from your own data and never shared with or compared against other merchants
• To send the service and report emails described above
• To meet our legal obligations

We do not sell personal information, images, or catalog data. We do not use your images, catalog, or usage data to train or fine-tune AI models.

We share information only with service providers that process it for us, under contract, to run Acuarela:

• fal.ai (United States): AI image generation, which receives the photos and prompts for each job
• Google Gemini (United States and other countries): the support assistant, Complete the look, and the catalog clean-up suggestions that use AI (tags, product types, and matching photos to colours). They receive your messages; for Complete the look, the approved image, catalog thumbnails, titles, product types, and tags; and for catalog clean-up: for tag and product type suggestions, product titles, excerpts of product descriptions (up to 600 characters), collection names, and the tags and product types your store already uses; for matching photos to colours, product photos with the product title and the names of its colours
• Railway (United States): hosting, database, and image storage
• Langfuse (European Union): monitoring of AI quality, cost, and errors, including support assistant messages, kept 30 days
• Amazon Web Services SES (Canada): sending email
• Stripe (United States): Studio payments
• Google (United States): Sign in with Google, if you choose it
• Google Analytics (United States): visits to our Shopify App Store listing and installs from it, measured through Shopify’s listing tracking; Shopify hosts that page and manages its cookie choices
• Shopify: the app platform and Shopify Billing, under Shopify’s own privacy policy

Complete the look is optional; you can turn it off in Settings. To tailor pairings, it also includes short descriptions of looks you recently kept or discarded.

Do not enter sensitive personal information into the support assistant.

Acuarela for ChatGPT: if you use our plugin in ChatGPT, the images are made by ChatGPT under OpenAI's terms, not by us. When ChatGPT shows you one of our screens to pick products or colours or to approve images, it sends us what that screen displays: product identifiers, titles and photo links, colour names, and links to the images ChatGPT made. If ChatGPT asks us to check your store, it sends us your store's web address and we read its public product catalogue, the same one any visitor can see, to count what Acuarela could help with. We use all of this only to draw the screen, and we do not store or log it.

We can provide our current list of sub-processors on request.

Several of these providers process information in the United States or the European Union. While it is there, it is subject to the laws of those countries, and courts, law enforcement, and national security authorities there may be able to access it. We choose providers that commit by contract to protect it and to use it only to provide their service to us.

Before information about Quebec residents is communicated outside Quebec, we assess whether it will be adequately protected.

By installing the app, creating a Studio account, connecting a store, or asking for a report, you consent to the processing this policy describes. You can withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual limits: uninstall the app, disconnect WooCommerce, ask us to close your Studio account, or unsubscribe from email. Some features cannot work without the information they need.

We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires:

• Job photos and generated images: while the app is installed or your Studio account is open, or until you ask us to delete them
• Uploaded color photos never used in a job: 24 hours
• Complete the look proposal logs, and looks you discarded or that failed: 90 days
• Catalog health checks: 30 days
• Catalog clean-up: suggestions are kept while the app is installed; the record of changes applied to your store is kept 90 days (you can undo a change for 30 days)
• Free color photo check reports: until the store asks us to remove them
• Report requests (email and consent record): while you stay subscribed, and 24 months after you unsubscribe as a record of your choice, or deleted sooner on request
• Outreach records and opt-outs: kept so we never email an address that opted out, or deleted on request
• WooCommerce keys: until you disconnect
• Studio account: while it is open; deleted when you ask us to close it, except billing records we must keep for tax purposes
• Shopify shop data: while the app is installed. After you uninstall, Shopify sends a shop redaction request and we delete that shop’s data (tokens, jobs, usage, looks, related records, and stored images).

We implement Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks.

We use HTTPS, encrypt stored WooCommerce keys, restrict operator tools with access controls, and keep secrets out of our code. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We keep a record of every security incident involving personal information. If an incident creates a real risk of significant harm, we notify the people affected and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, and for Quebec residents the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec, as soon as feasible.

You can ask to access the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, withdraw your consent, or receive a copy of information you gave us in a structured, commonly used format. Write to privacy@adwaizer.com with your store address or account email. We reply within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada (priv.gc.ca) or, in Quebec, to the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec (cai.gouv.qc.ca).

Acuarela is a business tool and is not directed at children under 16.

We may update this policy. The date above will change, and we will tell you about material changes in the app or by email.
